we will be starting sign ups in the beginning of june. everyone detasseling with us needs to have PHOTOCOPIES of two forms of ID for the federal I-9 form. if you have never detasseled before, dont worry about it, its our job to teach you what to do.
you are expected to wear and bring what you need each day. we want everyone to work with their friends/family members as much as possible. detasseling is a hard job and sometimes your first job, we start the season off with all the instruction needed. you will be taught what to do from the first day and by the third day everything will become routine. the first three days are the hardest, make it through them and you are a detasseler. we want everyone to have as much fun, meet new friends and make as much money as possible. this is going to be a very busy season, with lots of acres to detassel. the detasseling start date is usually around the fourth of july. it all depends on the planting dates and the weather. ill keep everyone updated as much as possible. i am exceted to see all of you that worked last year and to meet all of our new employees.
